I liked Peanuts when I was little, but as I grew I began to side with Bill Watterson more and more. There were too many dinosaurs on the Comics page.
However, prompted mostly by the attention Charles Schulz has been getting lately, it has prompted me to rediscover some of his earlier work. He was a much more interesting person, and re-viewing the old Peanuts gang through the lens of his depression makes the experience somehow deeper.
Of course, now that Peanuts has been reprinted in its entirety, it's tempting to start from the beginning and really get to know it.
